Charlie Moore is bringing his Civilian Tactical Handgun training to Huntingdon, PA!
On September 19, 2020, this 2-part workshop will provide civilians with the fundamentals of tactical handgun & the option to also receive tactical live fire training! All experience levels are welcome.
The Civilian Tactical Handgun Training is geared toward providing the civilian handgun owner with the necessary skill sets to enable them to defend themselves or others when threatened with imminent or immediate serious bodily injury or death, which is the accepted legal standard for using lethal force across the United States. These sessions will address the tactical considerations necessary to effectively and efficiently employ justified lethal force in a civilian context.

THIS TRAINING WILL BE OFFERED IN TWO SECTIONS
Session 1: Fundamentals of Tactical Handgun
Saturday, September 19 • 9:00AM-12:30PM • Location – Huntingdon Community Center
The max number of students for this session is 20 students.
NOTE: Session 1 is the pre-requisite for Session 2.
This session focuses not only on the tactics needed to effectively and efficiently employ lethal force but also on applicable state law, from where articulation comes from to justify using lethal force in the defense of yourself or others.
The vast majority of handgun courses spend massive amounts of time on target shooting techniques and punching paper but little, if any, on studying applicable state use of force law standards one must meet in order to be justified in utilizing deadly force. Many recent cases here in the United States bring to bear the extreme importance of learning both aspects – tactics and justified use.
Covered in this session will be:
- Grip (tactical vs range)
- Functional Shooting platforms
- Accessing your weapon from concealed carry
- Weapon manipulation skills
- Weapon retention
- Flashlight skills for low light application
Session 2: Private Tactical Live Fire Training
Saturday, September 19 • 2:00-6:00PM • Location – Private Range in Alexandria, PA
For safety, the maximum attendance for this class is 6 students.
NOTE: Session 1 is the pre-requisite for Session 2.
This private training will be different from any range day you’ve had. Using drills and skill builders from top-tier law enforcement agency training, we will take your tactical handgun skills to the next level.
You will learn:
- Grip and reloading under stress
- Instinctive vs Precision Shooting
- Movement principles for defensive handgun
- Tactical immediate action drills vs those from the sportive range
- Use of cover myths, misconceptions and methods
- Shooting from atypical platforms
- Shooting effectively under stress
- And more!
Students attending Session Two should bring the following to the range:
- Own eye / ear protection
- Minimum 200 rounds of ammo
- Weapon
- Holster / carry system
- Hydration / snack
- Weather-related clothing
- Sunscreen / bug spray
