UPCOMING HANDGUN TRAINING: Our Shoot Like An Air Marshal Workshop will take place on January 23, 2021 from 10am-2pm at the American Patriot Range & Gun Club at 2526 Boots Harrison Rd in Hortense, GA.
After our successful AR-15 Fundamentals Workshop this past week, we are looking forward to teaching handgun owners the tactical shooting skills used to prep Federal Air Marshals for the Tactical Pistol Course that can be applied to real life situations!
Outside of many special weapons teams, the tactical pistol skills regimen of the Federal Air Marshal (FAM) Service are unquestionably some of the most challenging out there.
The time limits of the seven stages of fire within the original FAM Tactical Pistol Course (TPC) with its drawing from concealment, movements and reloads are realistic, tactically sound and personally challenging.
Although they look easy on paper, when you must get hits in precise targeted zones at real life speed, success is a challenge. The rules of the TPC are simple: Pass or Don’t. If you go over the time limit on any stage of fire, you fail. There are no do-overs on any string of fire – just like in real life.
So basically, you’ll need to complete the 30-round TPC with practically no mistakes.
The skills required for successful completion of the TPC are parallel to those required to effectively and safely succeed in a real-life deadly force encounter.
Come train to learn the tactical shooting skills needed to not only successfully complete the FAM TPC, but – more importantly – to fully prepare yourself to be not just armed, but confidently ready to defend your life or that of your family if ever presented with the imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm in real life.
